2016 was the first year that the transportation sector beat out electricity production sector in terms of total U.S Greenhouse Gas Emissions. It is apparent that in order to combat the rising temperatures associated with Co2 and greenhouse gas cycle we must change the way we think about driving. Driving reform can take many different forms but the couple that Muskegon County is ready for would be; electric vehicles, and ride-share or carpooling. Muskegon County holds over 14 electric vehicle charging stations placed all around the county, as well as a few Park & Ride Carpooling parking-lots set up at the Russel Rd Exit of highway 31  and the highway 31 and 96 interchange in Norton Shores.
